During the night of the 16th of January, bonfires are lit all over town.

17th of January.

First thing in the morning, there is the "colcada", when the town's animals march in procession through the streets to be blessed in the church "La Mare de DeudelsÀngels" off the central square.

Following this, everyone sets off towards the finca of "Ternelles" to fetch the traditional pine tree.

A picnic of "pa amb oli", bread with oil and smoked fish is laid on by the town hall. After lunch the pine tree will be dragged back to the Almoina square where it is planted and then attempted to climb.
